r2.jpgThanks to its location close to the catedral, this establishment is popular among tourists, although during the mornings, it fills with Spanish office workers from the area. The restaurant is actually an old stable, and the tables sit under the 500-year-old dome. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, and the service is very good. The specialty at Vía Máxima are the combo platters and the salads, although the salmon, cabrales cheese, sausage, or Iberian ham small sandwiches (pulgas) also come highly recommended. The pepper sirloin is another delicious option. This is the perfect place to eat every day for the quality, speed of service, and affordable prices.
